EDIT TO THAT LAST ASK (cuz I cant edit answers on my phone)
I didnt see you said ribbing(I read it as beading for some reason), so disregard the second part! Haha
The materials most commonly used nowadays are silicone and teflon.
But(if my memory serves me correct) back in the day, in Japan they used steel, titanium or pearls.
I am not a body modification artist so I am not comfortable getting super technical with explaining. But there are two methods that I know of: Having the skin pierced and tapered for insertion of the bead, or having them inserted by means of how you would install any other subdermal implant.
Hope I could be of some help. :)
Happy moon day Monday. Today is ruled by mother moon herself. She is our connection to our higher selves and intuition as well as to dreams and nightmares. She is a gentle reminder that there is always some sort of light in the darkness, even if we can’t see her. When the moon is new and waxing we are able to use her growth to help us grow, using a form of magick called sympathetic magick. This month I hope to gain more compassion and patience just as the moon gains more light, day by day. #moon #today
